Akadémiai Kiadó and Wolters Kluwer Ltd chose their new headquarters at the presently renewing Lokomotív Ház, which is located in the most popular office area of Újbuda. CBRE Hungary has advised them to find the best office solution. They will become the biggest tenants of the office park from this May.

Lokomotív Ház office complex is also renewing in line with the dynamic city development of Újbuda. "The aim of the renovation is to accommodate our tenants in a modern, friendly environment and to satisfy their needs in long term. In the spirit of environment-conscious thinking, the interior courtyard of the building is receiving a green exterior.  Additionally, the modernisation and extension of the current surface parking area the internal road network will get a new paving block cover and an e-charging station will also be installed.” – said Erzsébet Kőszeghy, Head of Asset Management of Lokomotív Ház and Markó Irodák 9 office buildings.

The building was formerly a chocolate factory, therefore it carries recognisable characteristics of an industrial building, like the internal height. During the planning phase both tenants and the owner agreed on the importance of retaining this feature of the building. The premises will be fitted out with a visible mechanical engineering leaving out the suspended ceilings, so this industrial atmosphere will be reflected in the interior design as well. The modernization of the buildings’ HVAC systems are to be completed soon. Building "B" has been renewed last year and it is waiting for its new tenants on 2500 sq m. Furthermore, the facades of Building "A" and "D", which are overlooking Budafoki and Galvani street, is given new design and state-of-the-art insulation this year. A new restaurant with a terrace opens this summer.

"We found a common voice with the Landlord at the very beginning of the project. The office building with a particular character, which has been constructed from an ancient industrial building, represents the values of Wolters Kluwer Ltd and Akadémiai Kiadó. It is substantial for us to preserve the value with the spirit of freshness." – added Gábor Tóth, director of Wolters Kluwer Ltd.

The Lokomotív Ház guarantees quality offices, showrooms and storage facilities in four differently tailored buildings. Thanks to its excellent location, Lokomotív Ház is easily accessible by car and by public transport. Addition to this, the wide range of service facilities of the nearby Új Buda Center makes tenants every days’ life easier.
