The new division will fill in the gap on the expanding Hungarian market
CBRE, the world’s leading real estate services and investment organisation introduces its Hotel division in Hungary. The new business line is reacting to the increasing local demand and the continuously expanding regional hotel market. The new division is headed by Laurent Lassier, who has more than 25 years of experience in the hotel business, including managerial positions with Accor in hotels such as Sofitel and Novotel.
This March, CBRE, the world’s largest real estate services organisation, launched their local Hotels division in Hungary. With the expanding local hotel market, this newly established team are equipped to provide the full range of services CBRE Hotels offer. This includes; investment and valuation consultancy, operator selection advice, preparation of feasibility studies, as well as project management and operational consultancy.
Laurent Lassier has been appointed as the Head of Hotels, Hungary, with a goal to build the local hotel division, based on the successfully operating Czech and Polish models in the CEE region. Laurent has over 25 years of experience in the hotel industry, having previously held managerial positions in French and International hospitality companies in the fields of general management, sales and marketing, hotel development and advisory consulting. Laurent has spent the last 10-years as Hotel Director for Accor Group, working brands such as Sofitel, Mercure, Novotel and Budapest Congress Center (BCC), which has supported his knowledge and expertise in the Central European hotel business market.
“The hotel industry is dynamically growing worldwide, and especially in the CEE region and in Hungary. The local market is very strong both in business and tourism, so it’s very important for CBRE Hotels to be present in this field as well” – said Laurent Lassier. “Lately, we have been experiencing a growing demand from our clients and partners for services focusing on hotels, and since Hotel divisions are already operating in the region successfully, it was an obvious decision to expand the business line in Hungary as well.” – added the newly appointed Head of Hotels, who has been living in Hungary for 19 years. Lassier started in his new position at CBRE at the beginning of March.
